Hello folks! For me, being without work is more work actually than having a real job. This is good, because it keeps me focused and positive. Just job hunting is a full time job, but I've also been very occupied with expending my web presence, recording my music, and booking performances. Continue reading for details and other news.

1. Upcoming Performances

So far, I have ten upcoming performances booked in November and December. I'll be performing in Katy, Spring, and West Houston at Dunn Bros Coffee (three different locations), Katy Guitar Fest, Katy Holiday Fun Festival (charity), Parrot Pub's Toys for Tots (charity) and possibly other venues. Most of these performances are free and for all ages. Hope to see you at my shows. For a complete list, maps, and details of my upcoming performances, visit this webpage:

2. Web Press Kit

To help with booking more gigs, I created a press kit on my website. I will soon also develop an interactive multimedia and printable versions for download, as well as a physical package to distribute by conventional mail. My web press kit is a work in progress. Please spread the word and refer people to my web press kit. To see what I have done so far, visit this webpage:

3. Recording Projects

My first commercial recording projects are finally underway and I hope to release at least one album by the end of the year. Currently, I have enough materials for at least three albums. It's about time I started recording them for commercial release. I'll let you know more and share some recordings with you soon.

4. Expanding My Web Presence

I've also been very busy updating and expanding on the web. You can now follow me on Twitter, friend me on Facebook and/or become a fan of my Facebook Musician Page. In addition to my website, I also have profiles and channels on MySpace, YouTube, ReverbNation, LastFM, just to mention a few. Keeping all these sites up-to-date is becoming a major task. I will soon need to find a content management application or figure out a way to update once to all of these. Perhaps I can find a blogging platform that integrates with all these social networking technologies. For a complete list of all my websites, please visit this webpage:

5. Featured in ePistle

The folks of Evangelicals for Social Action (ESA) featured my "Blues for After the Rain" video in their ePistle weekly newsletter. It appeared in the Holistic Ministry section of the 16-Oct-09 issue. You can view it at this webpage:

6. Performing at Several Festivals

I love festivals, especially if I'm performing at one. Festivals provide an opportunity to watch multiple performances, meet artists and other people, discover new things, do fun activities, and eat and drink. These are great to spend a day and/or evening with family and friends enjoying all this. And if these are held for charity purposes, it's even better. The organizers of several of these events in Katy and Spring have invited me to perform. These events will happen in December 2009. For details and maps, visit these webpages:

7. An Evening of Acoustic Guitar Music

For the second time since last year, I will get together the first week of January 2010 with a few guitarist friends and do a show of acoustic guitar in the round. My brothers in guitar Sean Martin and Kavin Allenson will share the stage with me at the Dunn Bros Coffee in Spring for an evening of performing our original acoustic guitar music (and perhaps a couple of covers). I will provide more details later. Here is a photo of our first guitar night at Cafe Soleil in Spring in March 2008 (from left-to-right: Robert Len Stallard, Kavin Allenson, Sean Martin):

8. In Closing

God is watching over me and is guiding me to my calling, whichever this may be. Of course, I hope it has something to do with creating and sharing my music. And if not, so be it.

You can post your comments below.

God bless and may you have a great day, everyday!
